Jāņu siers (Midsummer caraway cheese) with cream

Jāņu siers with cream is a traditional Latvian Midsummer caraway cheese made from skimmed milk, skimmed-milk curd and eggs. The name “Jāņu siers” is entered in the European Union's register of Traditional Specialities Guaranteed. Made by Lapsu mājas siers, Ogre.

How to use

• Serve with beer at the Midsummer table
• Put on rye bread or serve as a snack
• Slice for a cheese board

Ingredients: skimmed milk, skimmed-milk curd, sweet cream 35%, eggs, caraway, salt
